Change Your Philosophy, Change Your ______ ? PDF Print E-mail

I just got back form a quick trip to New York City to check out a movie premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival that one of my good friends and business partner actually produced. An awesome accomplishment to say the least and a really great movie. Its a murder mystery about a 4-year old boy who gets shot during a burglary. The investigation tears apart a small town in upstate New York. I was on the edge of my seat the whole movie, a good sign of a good movie...

Its called "Meskada" and it looks to have huge potential with a few big name actors in it - Rachel Nichols from Star Trek and GI Joe, Nick Stahl, and Meryl Streep's daughter, to name a few. A group of us are private investors in the film so it was pretty cool to be the first to see the movie and meet all the actors afterward. Keep an eye out for it at the movies and/or on DVD soon.

Anyways, on the flight on the way home I was checking out a recent issue of SUCCESS Magazine, the issue that featured The Life And Legacy Of Jim Rohn. If you're not familiar with Jim Rohn, well, you should be. Even though he passed away earlier this year, his work is still everywhere. He's been coined America's Foremost Business Philosopher and there aren't too many people that have had a positive affect on as many lives as Jim Rohn did. He spoke to 6,000 audiences during his lifetime, personally teaching millions of people the fundamentals of success, both personal and business.

The cornerstone of Jim Rohn's message was "Change Your Philosophy, Change Your Life." Big words. I'd thought today I'd leave you with some words of wisdom and some inspiration from someone who has inspired me (and many others) for years now. And someone who can still have a profound impact on your life, if you're up for it... ?

Jim Rohn's philosophy was this: "work harder on yourself than you do on your business; your income is directly related to your philosophy, not the economy; and for things to change for you, you must change."

Here are my two favorites:

"Don't wish it was easier, wish you were better. Don't wish for less problems, wish for more skills. Don't wish for less challenges, wish for more wisdom."

"Success is something you attract by the person you become."

...Tough, tough words for many to hear. Many will instantly reject these philosophies, and then wonder why things aren't getting any better in their lives. Odd, to me.

Change Your Philosophy, Change Your Life.

Easy? Nope... Simple? Yep...

I'll leave you with the exclusive online tribute video of Jim Rohn's life, now viewed over 100,000 times. I suggest you go check it out now...

How can a shift in your philosophy change your life? Think about it...

My Mission

"My mission is to inspire people to live life on their terms while encouraging them to have the confidence to achieve anything they want in life.

"A favorite quote of mine sums it up - 'I see a world in which people accept the lives they live and do the things they do, not because they have to, but because no one ever showed them an alternative.'"
